Bussing during cold temperatures

Good Morning Centennial Cougar Families,

Here is some information regarding transportation and cold weather:

Transportation of Students in Cold Weather

Regina Public Schools transportation implemented a new procedure effective in the 2014-2015 school year.

If the wind chill and/or temperature falls below -45C at 6:00AM, all student transportation will be cancelled.

If the wind chill and/or temperature falls below -40C or at 6:00AM, transportation for students requiring vehicles equipped with lifts (such as, students in wheelchairs) will be cancelled.

Parents/guardians and students will be notified through the School Connects Synrevoice System, as well through Edsby, radio, TV, and RPS social media (Twitter, etc.).

Schools will remain open with doors open.  We ask parents/guardians to advise the school via Edsby, phone or email, if their child/children will not be attending on a day where transportation has been cancelled.

Drop-off is no earlier than 8:35 am as we have no supervision before this time.

Stay warm Cougars,

Frankie Pelletier - Directrice/Principal
